HVAC and Plumbing System Monitor
This project consisted of monitoring a domestic water heater and a hot water boiler for proper opperation. The client wanted the ability to test functions remotely through a smart phone as well as be alerted via email should one of these systems malfunction. Engineered Energy Systems developed a small custom programmed building automation system (BAS) to monitor the status of the water heater and boiler. The BAS gave the client a graphical user interface to view current system information and test basic functions of the system. The BAS software used triggers in the system to generate alerts which were then sent on to the clien via email and text message.
